As the Greek goddess of spring and queen of the underworld, Persephone embodies multitudes: life and death; light and dark; softness and hardness. Themes of duality, metamorphosis, and permeability are engaged through the synthesis of opposing materials such as nails, hardware, fibers, organic material, and fabric. I consider heightened self-awareness of dueling forces within individual experience as passages to synchronicity and harmony.
